Changing Group Tax Calculations

You don't need a program update to change the Group Tax calculations. You can do this yourself.

When we are told that these calculations have changed and what they are now supposed to be we will update the list shown on this web-site on the Tax Tables screen. You can then change them yourselves using the instructions on that page.


Regenerate Past Periods or Cost Centre Info

You can regenerate the Month End G/L Export information again for a prior month but Do this on a temporary copy of your database.

  1. Choose SAVE DATABASE AS from the payroll FILEmenu and save your database as PAY-JUNK.MDB as the rest of this process will mess up your YTD figures.
  2. Make sure that the current payroll database is now PAY-JUNK.MDB (if not choose SELECT NEW DATABASE from the FILE menu and change to it.
  3. Zero out ALL MTD figures in the system
  4. Delete all current PTimSht and PPAYSUM data
  5. process the Regenerate Prior period for a chosen month
  6. Update the first period
  7. Update the second period
  8. Update the third period
  9. if there are 5 periods in the month then Update the fourth period
  10. Export the G/L data (or clear it)
  11. Update the last pay period
  12. Print the G/L Export information.
  13. Change back to your live Payroll Database again using SELECT NEW DATABASE from the FILE menu and clicking on your live database file.
